Polyisobutylene (PIB) is a colorless, tasteless, non-toxic viscous or semisolid material, has good heat resistance, oxygen, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and corrosion resistance, UV resistance, resistance to acid and alkali, the high volume resistivity, low expansion coefficient, dielectric does not contain harmful substances, electrical insulation good, no cracking of carbon residue and other characteristics, in addition to widely used in lubricating oil additives, oil additives, adhesives, gum putty additives and electrical insulating materials, widely used in rubber polymer field, ten broad development prospect.
