L-Glutamine is the most prevalent amino acid in the bloodstream. It is used in the gut and immune system extensively to maintain optimal performance. 60% of free-form amino acids floating in skeletal muscles is L-glutamine. When supplemented, it may help you reduce the amount of muscle deterioration that occurs because other tissues that need glutamine will not rob the glutamine stored in the muscle cells.

L-glutamine is widely found in nature, for example, in its free state in the seedlings of pumpkins and sunflowers, and its n-ethyl compound (theanine) is found in tea. Although glutamine can be extracted from natural products, it is produced in large quantities by fermentation and synthesis. 1. The synthesis method is obtained from L-glutamate-5-methyl ester ([1499-55-4]) through condensation, addition, salting and hydrolysis. Glutamic acid is esterified with methanol in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid, and the resulting esterification droplets are added to the mixture of methanol and carbon disulfide, while the droplets are added and ammonia is cooled. After the esterification drops were added, ammonia was continued, and then triethylamine Chemicalbook was added and closed at 30ºC for 40h. The concentrated solution of γ-methyl ester - L-Glutamic acid - N-aminodiammonium salt was obtained after concentration and removal of ammonia under reduced pressure. Heat it to 40-45 ° C and add acetic acid. After stirring for 30min, the carbon disulfide was removed under pressure, and a large amount of crystallization was produced. Then, equal volume methanol was added, placed at 0ºC for 12h, filtered, and glutamine crude product was obtained. The finished product was obtained by decolorization and recrystallization of activated carbon. 2. Glucose, acetic acid and ethanol were used as the carbon source of culture medium by fermentation method, and the bacterial strain Brevibacteriumflavum was used for fermentation. The yield was 39g/L and the yield was 39%.
