      6-Methylcoumarin (6-methylcoumarin) is China's GB2760-2014(food safety national standard standard for the use of food additives) provisions for the permitted use of edible spices, number S1182, with coconut sweet gas, mainly used to prepare coconut, vanilla and caramel flavor.
     White crystalline solid. It has a sweet, coconut-like smell. The boiling point is 303ºC(99.66kPa), the melting point is 73 ~ 76ºC, and the flash point is 67.2ºC. Soluble in benzene, hot ethanol and non-volatile oil, insoluble in hot water.
