Chemical property
     Chlorogenic acid mainly exists in Lonicerae and Artemisia, and its content is higher in Eucommia leaves (2-5%), honeysuckle flowers (1-5.9%), sunflower seeds (1.5-3%) and coffee beans (2-8%). The acicular crystal is obtained from water, which is semi-hydrate and becomes non-hydrate at 110ºC. Melting point 208ºC, [α]D25-33.5°(water, C=1), K=2.2×10-3(27ºC). It has a weak sour taste and is astringent.
 Product use
      Chlorogenic acid is the main component of raw coffee, and its extract can promote weight loss in overweight and obese people. Chlorogenic acid is an important intermediate in lignin biosynthesis. Chlorogenic acid is an antioxidant and an inhibitor of the tumor-promoting activity of phobate. It has a protective effect against diabetes caused by oxidative stress produced by streptozotocin - niacinamide, and can also prevent cardiovascular disease.
     Clearing heat and detoxifying, cooling disperses wind-heat, has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, and has obvious inhibitory effect on many kinds of bacteria such as hemolytic streptococcus, dysentery ricinus and typhoid bacillus.
