Applications
Calcium citrate malate has two main uses: as a calcium supplement, solid dosage form is made into pure tablets or added to bread, biscuits, pastries, candy, milk powder, breakfast food and flavor snacks to make functional food; The liquid dosage form is used for calcium fortified drinks and can be added to milk, soybean milk drinks and other drinks. Beverages using calcium citrate malate as calcium fortifier have been sold in many regions of the world. The United States (1986), Japan (199) and Europe (191) have begun to sell. The Ministry of health and welfare of Japan has approved calcium citrate malate as the raw material of "special health food", and the Canadian government has approved calcium citrate malate swallowing tablets and chewing tablets as calcium supplements in medicine. However, calcium citrate malate has not been widely developed and utilized in China.
