   Gellan gum can be used as thickening agent. Gelling agent; Stabilizers and gelling agents for biochemical research. Phytagel is an AGAR substitute secreted from pseudomonas. It is a mixture of glucuronic acid, rhamnose and glucose. It is colorless, transparent and highly ductile, and is the main component in the preparation of plant tissue media and microbial media.
    Gellan gum is a kind of microbial metabolic gum. It is an exopolysaccharide produced by Sphingomonas oligospora, a gram-negative bacterium from water lily, using glucose, sucrose, maltose and other small molecular sugars as substrates. Like white powder, no special taste and smell. Gellan gum directly decomposed at 150ºC, has good stability, acid resistance, high temperature resistance, heat reversibility.
