L-arginine is a coding amino acid in protein synthesis and is one of the eight essential amino acids in the human body. The body needs it to perform multiple functions. This amino acid also helps remove ammonia from the body and has the effect of promoting wound healing. The body also needs it to produce sarcosine. Nitric oxide is produced when L-arginine is broken down, so it can dilate blood vessels and increase blood flow. Normally, the body produces enough L-arginine on its own.
