White crystalline powder or crystal. Slightly smelly, slightly sweet metallic taste. The product becomes yellowish brown with ferric salt after being damp or oxidized in its aqueous solution. Light can promote oxidation. Iron ions react easily with other food additives to stain. Dissolved in water, forming a green transparent liquid, acidic. Almost insoluble in ethanol.
     Product use
Nutrient supplement (iron fortification agent). The daily requirement is 16mg for adults and 6mg for infants (Japanese standard). The amount of iron used to strengthen milk powder is about 6mg/100g. For wheat flour, biscuits, bread, the amount of use is 2 ~ 3mg/100g. The rat fortified soybean milk of this product, the absorption rate (for iron) is very strong. Color conditioner.
