Diacreine, also known as diacetyldihydroanthracene carboxylic acid, 1, 8-diacetyl-3-carboxyanthraquinone, daceridine, and ambitin, is a new interleukin (IL) -1 inhibitor, chemical name is diacetylrhein, belongs to the anthraquinone compound, this product can induce chondrogenesis, has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects, and can also significantly improve the joint function of osteoarthritis patients. Delay the course of the disease, reduce pain, improve the quality of life of patients, with good safety, clinical mainly used in the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA) and play an antibacterial role. Solubility: soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide and dimethyl acetamide; Insoluble in water, methanol, chloroform.

Diacetorein and its active metabolite Rhubarb (rhein) reduce IL-1β production and activity by inhibiting IL-1 converting enzyme. The mechanism of action includes:

3, inhibit IL-1 activity.
