What is 4-butylresorcinol?

4-Butylresorcinol, also known as Rucinol, is an effective ingredient in various cosmetics and can inhibit melanin production.Specifically, it can inhibit the two enzymes necessary for melanin production, namely tyrosinase and5,6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylate oxidase.

4-Butylresorcinol mainly achieves the goal of whitening and lightening spots by inhibiting the activities of tyrosinase and dihydroxyindole carboxylate oxidase (TRP-1).

4-Butylresorcinol CAS 187979-61-8 is a strong inhibitor of tyrosinase and peroxidase, effective as skin lightener and ever-tone for normal and hyper-pigmented skin and even suitable for Melasma treatment.
